ANZ's Chief Executive Officer acknowledged that the global economic outlook remains uncertain, which poses significant challenges. The company has maintained low credit losses, reported at just 4 basis points in H2FY25 and has strengthened its balance sheet through derisking of portfolio over multiple years.

ANZ remains confident to capitalise on opportunities arising from increased market volatility.

The company intends to continuously support its customers as they adjust their strategies, leveraging its quality clientele, international reach, and streamlined operations. Furthermore, it is enhancing its non-financial risk management practices and risk culture to meet the expectations of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.
