Overview

OpenLearning Limited (ASX:OLL) has secured a new SaaS agreement with Philippine Normal University to deploy its AI-powered learning management system (LMS) across the university. The initial one-year agreement will support 5,000 students beginning in June 2026 and was secured through OpenLearning’s Philippine reseller partner, CE-Logic Inc. PNU selected the platform after a competitive procurement process, citing features such as AI course creation, outcomes-based assessment, integrated learner portfolios, and secure cloud infrastructure. While the agreement is not financially material at approximately A$30,000 in first-year Revenue, OpenLearning views the partnership as strategically important because PNU is a leading institution in teacher education across the Philippines. The company also sees potential for future expansion into the broader Philippine higher education market.

Why Is the PNU Agreement Strategically Important for OpenLearning?

The agreement with Philippine Normal University represents a major strategic milestone for OpenLearning because it validates the reseller partnership established with CE-Logic and C&E Publishing in 2025. PNU is regarded as one of the most influential teacher education institutions in the Philippines, giving OpenLearning a strong reference customer in the region. The deal also demonstrates growing interest in AI-powered education technology among Philippine universities and colleges. Management believes the successful implementation at PNU could help attract additional institutional customers from CE-Logic’s expanding sales pipeline, which already includes universities, colleges, and schools across the country.

What Features Helped OpenLearning Win the Contract?

PNU selected OpenLearning’s platform because of its advanced AI-powered learning capabilities and modern digital infrastructure. Key features included AI-assisted course creation, integrated learner portfolios, outcomes-based assessment tools, interactive learning systems, and secure cloud-hosted technology. The platform also offers credentialing and E-commerce functionality designed to support lifelong learning and professional education. In addition to the software deployment, CE-Logic and OpenLearning will provide administrator and faculty Training alongside ongoing technical support. These features aligned closely with PNU’s modernization strategy aimed at improving teacher education standards and digital learning capabilities nationwide.
