Unilever’s second-quarter sales growth beat forecasts on Thursday (July 31).

It said it was boosted by robust demand at its ice cream business, maker of Ben & Jerry's and Magnum...

Which will spin off in November as part of an ongoing reorganization.

Ice cream's underlying sales rose 7.1% in the second quarter, the group's fastest growing category.

The Dove soap maker also maintained its full-year sales outlook, citing strong demand in North America and Europe.

Over the last year, Unilever made several changes to address underperformance and boost margins.

Alongside plans to demerge its ice cream business, refining measures included job cuts and changing its CEO.

But alongside buoyant results, there was a 50% drop in free cash flow from last year in the first half.

This raised concerns about financial strain caused by supply chain changes, tariff uncertainties and costs with spinning off its ice cream division.

But the Marmite maker will continue to focus its investment in the U.S. - which it said is working "really well." Related Videos
